TWO SEMESTERS. but the core four curriculum doesn’t have any american literature involved???? why??? where’s bradstreet? emerson? whitman and twain???? where are they?? shakespeare and chaucer et. al aren’t the only important writers to ever walk the planet!!!!! i’m going to stand at the department just screaming quotes from emerson’s american scholar speech
